Tulipa Print

This print draws inspiration from the genus Tulipa (native to the steppes of Persia) and their history as some of the longest cultivated ornamental plants in the world, as well as the sensationalized history of Dutch Tulipmania and the ways in which the tulip has become deeply embedded in Dutch culture. Each of the 38 tiny delft tiles in the border were inspired by soft and beautiful moments of artist Lilly Carr's own life, reimagined through the traditional Dutch ceramic art form. Printed with pigment based inks on archival, acid free paper. Print dimensions are 5.5x7.5 inches.
