Don't fuck it up - Ru Paul MAGNET

Each magnet is a teeny collage where I combine hand-painted (yes, technically each one is a tiny original painting) and hand-stamped details with a photo that’s then sealed with epoxy resin for durability & easy spot-cleaning. I’ve upgraded to resin with a UV-resistant additive, but try to avoid prolonged direct sunlight to be on the safe side.

I use NO NEW PARTS in my creative practice, or as few as possible. It’s taken many years of trial and error to use second-hand/salvaged materials to make new, consistent items. Since I mix paints to match as best I can, colors & patterns can vary slightly from the product photos.

SIZE of the magnets are approximately ~2in x 2.75in. Dimensions can also vary depending on the backing surfaces I’m able to source ranging from dismantled scrap furniture to veneer samples rescued from landfill by @zer0landfillchicago and CCRX. I focus on what looks best for the image composition while maintaining a useful size/shape to function as a magnet.

BACKING is sealed & signed. I’m picky about the 3/4” round ceramic magnets I use. In addition to being a fun bit of decor, they’ll actually hold that paper on your fridge without falling down.
